Ex
Ex-istence
You are. You exist and that is the most fundamental truth there is. That is also the most fundamental quality, the most unchangeable one, of your being. It can never be otherwise, that is one thing that will never change about you. About me. About the people you love, the ones you think you don’t love and about the rest of them as well.
Ex-perience
You cannot prove that anything is real. And maybe some things are real while others aren’t, and maybe they’re not. But what is real is the experience you have of them. Situations, people, feelings, thoughts, emotions, … Don’t deny the reality of their experience, because no matter how illogical, odd or “wrong” an experience seems, to you it is real. And that is great because the only one who can truly and fully control your experience is you yourself. You have the fundamental quality of being able to assign whatever meaning you want to every experience and thereby transform it into a different, possibly more aligned experience and to me this is one of the greatest “inventions” ever.
[Side note]
Prove what I just said to yourself: Take up any small, insignificant, meaningless object that’s somewhere close to you. You will not have much of a feeling towards it and it won’t give you much of a significant other experience or shift in your current moment experience. Great. Now appreciate this object. Think of a way that it (or another object of the same kind) has helped you accomplish something in the past and appreciate. Imagine ways how this object will do that for you in the future and appreciate. Come back to the present moment and appreciate the craftsmanship that went into making this object, the love and creativity that someone must have felt at the time he or she got the initial inspired idea to create things of this kind in order to improve some tiny aspect of daily life. Can you feel it? You just have given a new meaning to your experience of that object and thereby changed it, changed everything.
And of course, as you can play with meaning in this situation you can do it in any other. Sometimes it’ll be harder to do, but you have this fundamental capability to create your experience. You can choose to exercise it more often if you wish.
[End of side note]
Ex-ploration
You are an explorer. An explorer of consciousness, of yourself, because yourself is all that is. You have chosen to be here to explore yourself in new depths, from new perspectives, in new and creative ways that you have never experienced before.
You chose a theme, a theme of exploration, a set of related experiences, with a thread of excitement and passion and love and creativity leading you along, through this process that is so full of awe.
You knew you would enjoy this time of diving from the uppermost levels of consciousness, where there is only spirit and infinity and eternity, without limitations, aaaaaall the way down into the deepest, densest, darkest, murkiest waters of human experience, where there is mostly matter, where change takes time, where you experience disconnection and strong limitations and sometimes just get lost in the process… But you are, at your core, an ever expanding being, always looking to explore the dark as well as the light, so you just couldn’t resist this expedition… and you knew that you would be able to handle it and that it would serve your purpose.
Ex-pression
Creation is observation and observation is creation. While you observe your journey you also cannot help but create it, because you are a creator at your core. And you express yourself in your creation, because yourself is all that is, there is nothing else for you to express, nothing else for you to observe. Only infinite ways to express yourself, to observe yourself, to exist, to experience, to explore.
Enjoy the process.

Stillness
As you read these words, thoughts cross your mind. Your mind is busy deciphering the words, making out all the lines of the letters which then form the words and sentences and paragraphs. Content, content, content. Everywhere. Or is it? What about the blanks in between words? What about the empty space around paragraphs? Is it empty? Or is there something about it, something worth noticing?
There is space around and between things. There is space around and between thoughts. There is space around and between any and every form that life itself may take on in every moment – situations, relationships, feelings, sounds, …
What happens to you if you just for a moment stop and observe – not the form itself, but the space, the spaciousness, the stillness around and between the forms?
Stillness…
Forms move and change and make you think, but what is around them doesn’t. It just exists. Watch it, listen to it, feel it. Notice what happens inside of you as you observe this peaceful, still, unchanging part of… yeah, part of what? The world? Or… just part of yourself?
Play with it, be open to noticing new insights and states of being and just your own presence and existence. Play with it, and see what happens.
Enjoy the stillness.
