Very nice. Far more effective than the ‘don’t do this’ approach. In fact, Milton Erickson made his reputation by suggesting to people that they do the things that they were already doing that others felt they should not be doing. Though his tongue was not obviously in his cheek when he said it.

I totally understand what you mean in your second sentence. and I’ve stumbled upon the perfect answer in the Rosine’s blog, probably you read it already:
